Pastor Wyatt Simmerman preached on kings today. In 1 Samuel we see the people of Israel asking for a king to be like the other nations around them. The Lord saw this as idolatry, wanting to have other kings before them. And before we beat down on how silly or obvious that that is a sin, we should examine ourselves. We can have our own kings in our lives instead of letting the King of kings ruling over our lives. Take time today to self examine and see what might be a king that is taking The Kings place in your life!
